The free plugin is listed on the Focusrite Plug-in Collective page but it’s not showing up on my account page just yet the Eventide Reverb plugin from last month is still listed instead. Surfing mode tracks the pitch of a monophonic instrument or a vocal source and can adapt its bands’ frequencies relative to the music in real-time, maintaining the natural harmonic balance of the sound source and making it possible to shape the source’s timbre relative to the notes being played. SurferEQ 2 Boogie features 3 bands, two of which can be switched to Shelf mode, while the centre band can be switched between Surfing and static mode. Here’s more about the plugin from the description: The Focusrite version of the plugin offers three bands instead of seven, and it’s called SurferEQ 2 Boogie.

The free plugin for October is a trimmed-down version of a new pitch-tracking equalizer called SurferEQ 2 by Sound Radix. Each month they have been giving away a different free plugin.
